About this tool
Compare two versions of a text to see what changed. Removed lines are marked with a minus and added lines with a plus. It is useful for contracts, drafts, code and configuration files, and nothing leaves your browser.

Frequently asked questions
Does the diff compare words or lines?
Lines. If one word changes, the whole line shows as removed and added.
Is there a size limit?
It handles up to about 2,000 lines on each side, because the comparison runs on your device.
Why do identical-looking lines show as different?
They probably differ in hidden spaces or tabs. Run both through the text cleaner first.
