This is the privacy policy of TextPlus.net, not of the textPlus app. TextPlus.net is an independent website of free text tools and guides. We have no connection to the textPlus free texting & calling app, cannot access textPlus accounts, phone numbers, messages, billing or refunds, and cannot help with them. For anything about the app, use the support and policies on textplus.com.
Summary
- The text tools run in your browser. Text you type or paste is not uploaded to our servers.
- We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It sets cookies and collects usage data (details below). We also record which tool buttons are used, but never the text you enter.
- We do not run advertising, sell data or require an account.
Text you enter into the tools
All counters, converters, formatters and generators process your text with JavaScript on your own device. We do not receive, store or log that text. Details:
- Browser storage: the Word Counter, Character Counter and SMS Character Counter save your last text in your browser's localStorage so it is still there if you reload the page. It stays on your device; clear it by emptying the text box or clearing site data in your browser.
- Text to Speech uses your browser's built-in speech synthesis. Most voices run on your device, but some browsers offer online voices (for example Chrome's “Google …” voices or Edge's “Online (Natural)” voices) that send the text to the browser vendor's speech service. Choose a local voice if that matters to you.
- Text to PDF loads the open-source jsPDF library from cdnjs (Cloudflare). Your browser downloads the library; your text is not sent.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google) to measure visits. When you load a page, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) and collects information like pages viewed, referring site, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser, device type and screen size, and interactions with the page. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy; see also how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
You can block analytics with your browser's privacy settings or a content blocker, delete the cookies at any time, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The tools keep working without it.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses and request headers to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
If you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply. We do not add you to mailing lists.
Children
The site is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to processing. Because we do not hold accounts or the text you process, most requests concern Google Analytics data; contact us and we will help where we can.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
