PMO: “pisses me off” or “put me on”?
Look at what comes before it. If someone is complaining, it means “pisses me off”. If they are asking about music, a game or a person, as in “pmo to that song”, it means “put me on”, or “tell me about it”.
Is someone actually angry?
Often not. On TikTok these phrases are frequently used as a joke, stacked into captions that barely make sense. From a friend, it is usually mild annoyance. If it is aimed at you, as in “u pmo”, take it more seriously and ask what is wrong.
How to reply
- To a friend venting: “what happened?” or “fr that's annoying”.
- If you are the problem: “my bad, what did I do?”
- If you do not want to use the slang: plain language works fine, and nobody expects you to reply in acronyms.
